Root cause. Not reset.
Industrial millwright service across Calgary: bearing replacement, precision shaft alignment, gear drives, pumps and hydraulics. The scope starts with the failure pattern, required measurements and the outcome the equipment needs.

When to call a millwright
A fault code is a symptom. The four patterns below need a tradesperson who chases the cause upstream.
Mechanical scope to confirm
Mechanical and electromechanical work across production equipment. Electrical, instrumentation and PLC/controls responsibilities must be identified and assigned in the accepted scope.
Troubleshoot before parts decisions
The accepted scope should state what is inspected, what gets recorded and how findings move into repair decisions.
Troubleshoot first
Before parts are changed, the mechanical symptoms and likely cause should be examined. A scored bearing race may point to a misaligned coupling upstream.
As-found notes, readings and fault context can be included when the accepted documentation scope requires them.
Install to spec
Manufacturer requirements, bearing setup and alignment tolerances should be identified for the equipment. The quote should state which readings and as-left records are included.
Parts used, items flagged and follow-up notes can become a useful asset record when that deliverable is included in scope.
Calgary's industrial landscape
Common mechanical equipment contexts across the region include food and beverage, warehousing, manufacturing and wood products. Each request is confirmed against the actual equipment and scope.
Common questions
The four that come up most often before a millwright is dispatched.
01What does a millwright do in a factory?
A millwright installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery: precision shaft alignment, bearing replacement, gear drives, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics. In a plant setting, the millwright keeps production equipment running within spec and troubleshoots mechanical failures when they occur, then documents the as-found and as-left condition.
02What trade credentials should I confirm?
Relign’s mechanical work is led by an Alberta-certified Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright). The accepted scope identifies the trade lead, responsibilities and any work that requires another qualified discipline. No credential number or personal credential document is published.
03How is additional trade support handled?
Work is journeyperson-led and may include registered apprentices. Qualified other trades and additional capacity are available through Relign’s vetted contractor network when required by the engagement. Relign does not represent a permanent multi-trade staff or guaranteed crew capacity; names, qualifications and availability are confirmed for the accepted scope.
04What areas in Calgary do you service?
Relign’s core service area extends approximately 100 km from Calgary, including major industrial areas around Calgary, Balzac and Carseland. Travel charges, scheduling and response availability vary by location and agreement; work beyond the core area is considered case by case.
